After I created my blog I read somewhere that you should write about things that you know, things that are important to you and things that you love. Well I've already messed this one up. I know nothing about marriage. I can only tell you about mine as we go along. I would advise that you not take anything I do or say back to your marriage or relationship, it may cause you more grief than necessary.
With that being said, I should probably tell you a little bit about me and my new husband. I am from Alabama, born and raised (on the playground is where I spent most of my days) in a very small town. I like my small town so much that we decided to live there and one day raise a family (2 boys). This development officially makes me a morning commuter. That's right, I spend two hours a day in my car driving back and forth to work. I pass the time in the mornings listening to The Rick and Bubba Show. In the afternoon, I'm a more aggressive driver. I yell things at other drivers that I would be embarrassed for my mother (or preacher) to hear. I do have to say that I think this is learned behavior though.
My husband is also from the same very small town. We met on a blind date through mutual friends almost 4 years ago. As small as our town is, we did not know each other growing up. My husband is 4 1/2 years older than me (I remind him every chance I get). He LOVES baseball. Baseball is probably a close second in his life and sometimes I think it might pass me up. I'm sure that the neighbors think the yelling that comes from our home is sweet newly wed spats. Nope, guess again. It's most likely cheering for the Braves, because lets face it baseball is on every single day. I've learned that dinner is just as good in the bedroom in front of the other TV. (<- one of the things I would suggest you not take to your relationship)
My goal for this blog is to capture our newly wed journey while providing entertainment to whoever stumbles across it. I should make it clear one more time. My view is most likely always going to be exaggerated and one sided. I am a woman and this is what we do.
